2021 November Monthly Report


Highlights

Very cold November across the state of Alaska with record breaking cold temperatures across the West Coast and Kodiak.

Less than normal precipitation for much of the state, near normal precipitation observed in parts of the Panhandle and Cook Inlet.

Anchorage and Juneau received above normal snowfall this month, with both cities setting new daily snowfall records.

The November average Arctic sea ice extent is the 10th lowest on record, sea ice extent is above average in the Bering Sea.
