Nome had a mean monthly temperature of 34.3°F, 5.6°F above normal this October. The highest temperature for the month was 45°F recorded on four days: the 5^th, 6^th, 8^th, and 9^th. The lowest temperature was 18°F on the 30^th.

Precipitation was higher than normal, with 2.46" measured, and 1.61" normally expected. Part of this was due to the 0.84" that fell on the 1^st, which broke the old 1922 record for the day of 0.56". Snow was nearly half of what was expected, with 2.4" measured and 4.6" observed. The average wind speed was 9.1 mph, while the highest wind speed was 49 mph from a southeasterly direction on the 1^st.
