Nome's monthly mean temperature was near normal this October, with 29.1°F recorded, just 0.4°F above normal. The lowest temperature for the month was 10°F on the 30^th, while the highest was 47°F occurring on both the 1^st and 2^nd.

Precipitation was less than normal with just 0.63" observed, 0.98" below normal. Snowfall, however, was near normal with 4.9" measured with 4.6" expected. On the 23^rd 3.6" of snowfall was measured, breaking the old 1987 record for that day by 1.3".
