Highlights

Nome this November was much warmer than normal with a monthly mean of 26.2°F observed, 9.3°F above normal, and 16.9°F expected. The highest temperature for the month was 44°F on the 18th.  In addition, five high temperature records were set or tied this month: on the 13th (matching the 1976 record), 14th (breaking a 1976 record), 15th (breaking a 1907 record by 4°F), 16th (breaking a 2000 record by 5°F) and on the 18th (also breaking a 2000 record by 9°F). The lowest temperature was 4°F on the 24th.

Precipitation was near normal with 1.44" of precipitation measured, just .22" above normal. Similarly snowfall was near normal, just 0.6" above normal with 12.7" recorded. The average wind speed was 10.8 mph, with a highest wind speed of 41 mph on the 1st, from a northeasterly direction, and on the 9th coming from an easterly direction.
