Highlights

Nome had a mean monthly temperature of 49.3°F, 1.5°F above the 47.8°F normally expected this June. The highest temperature for the month was 76°F on the 16th, which set a new record for that day, breaking the old record of 74°F from 1988. The lowest temperature for the month was 30°F on the 9th.

Precipitation was lower than normal at 0.34” measured and 0.98” expected. The average wind speed was 9.4 mph, while the highest wind speed was 32 mph on the 17th from a southeasterly direction.
