Highlights

March’s mean monthly temperature for Kodiak was 28.8°F, 4.0°F below normal. The highest temperature for the month was 40°F occurring on the 27th and 31st, while the minimum was 16°F occurring on the 18th.

Precipitation was light and measured at 0.70”, just 13% of the normal of 5.53", while snowfall was also 13% of normal with 1.5” recorded and 11.3” expected. The average wind speed was 12.4 mph while the highest wind speed was 57 mph from a northwesterly direction on the 2nd.
