Kodiak had a monthly mean temperature of 50.7°F, 1.0°F above the normal of 49.7°F, which was also one of the rare cities in Alaska that was warmer than normal this June. The highest temperature for the month was 72°F on the 28th, while the lowest was 39°F on the 4th and 20th

Precipitation was near normal, with 6.22" of precipitation, 0.31" above normal. A total 2.98" of this fell on the 6th, breaking the old 1938 record of 1.48". The average wind speed was 7.8 mph, while the greatest wind speed was 43 mph on the 17th, from a northwesterly direction.
