Highlights

Kodiak was warmer than normal, with a monthly observed temperature of 53.8°F, which was 4.1°F warmer than the long term June mean. The warmest temperature for the month (79°F) was observed on the 17th, while the coldest (41°F) was recorded on the 8th. Five new daily high temperature records were set or matched on the 8th, 16th, 17th, 18th, and 27th. In all, this June tied for the 7th warmest on record.

Precipitation was less than normal, with 4.11" recorded, just 70% of the normal amount. The average wind speed was 8.2 mph, with a peak wind speed of 40 mph from a northerly direction on the 6th.
