The mean monthly temperature for July in Kodiak was calculated as 57.4°F, 2.9°F above the normal of 54.5°F. The highest temperature for the month was 74°F on the 2^nd, while the coldest was 45°F on the 31^st.

Precipitation was lighter than normal, with 3.32" recorded, 1.61" below the normal 4.93".  Contributing to this was the 1.37" of precipitation that fell on the 6^th, which broke the old daily record of 1.05" set in 2008. The average wind speed was 7.7 mph, while the highest wind speed for the month was 36 mph on the 23^rd, from a westerly direction.
