Highlights

Kodiak's February mean monthly temperature was 36.0°F, 5.2°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 44°F on the 22nd, while the lowest was 23°F on the 6th.

Precipitation was over double the normal amount, with 12.88" measured and 6.14" expected. This was partly due to the 1.83" that fell on the 23rd, which broke the old record of 2004 for that day by just 0.02". Snowfall however was a mere 1.0", 7% of the normal 15.1". The average wind speed was 14.7 mph while the highest wind speed was 61 mph on the 29th from a northeasterly direction.
