Highlights

Kodiak had a mean monthly temperature of 42.2°F in April, 4.6°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 50°F occurring on both the 13th and 24th. The lowest temperature was 29°F on the 8th.

Precipitation was heavier than normal, with 8.90" measured, 3.09" above the normal of 5.81". The total precipitation of 1.34" on the 23rd broke the 1940 record of 0.97". Snowfall was much lighter than normal, with none recorded, while 8.0" was expected. The average wind speed was 12.4 mph, while the highest wind speed was 48 mph, on the 25th, from an easterly direction.
