April in Kodiak was warmer than normal, with a monthly mean temperature of 39.2°F or 1.6°F above the normal of 37.6°F. The highest temperature recorded for the month was 51°F observed on both the 29th and 30th, while the lowest temperature was 19°F on the 9th

Precipitation was higher than normal, with 7.13" of precipitation observed, 123% of the normal amount of 5.81". On the other hand, snowfall was low with 0.9" of snowfall observed, a mere 11% of the 8.0" normally expected. The highest wind speed was 48 mph on the 25th, from an easterly direction. The average wind speed was 10.7 mph.
