King Salmon September 2015


Highlights

September was cooler than normal for King Salmon, with a mean monthly temperature of 46.8°F, 0.8°F below normal.  The highest temperature for the month was 66°F which occurred on both the 1st and 6th, while the lowest temperature for the month was 22°F on the 23rd. One daily record low temperature was set on the 1st, with the 26°F observed for the day, 2°F less than the old 1980 record.

Precipitation was near normal with 3.25" measured, and 3.19" expected. Only trace amounts of snowfall were detected, while 0.1" is normal. The average wind speed was 8.8 mph while the highest wind speed was 45 mph blowing from a northwesterly direction on the 29th.
