King Salmon November 2015


Highlights

November's mean monthly temperature for King Salmon was 30.3°F, a whopping 7.4°F above the normal of 22.9°F. The highest temperature for the month was 50°F on the 5th, while the lowest was -6°F on the 16th and 17th

Precipitation was much heavier than normal, with 4.84" measured and 1.39" expected. Two new daily precipitation records were set: on the 19th 0.57" was measured breaking the 1957 record for that day of 0.45". Then on the 24th 1.37" were measured, breaking the old 1929 record of 0.30". Snow was 184% of the expected 6.9" and two new daily records were set: on the 9th 3.4" of snow was measured breaking the old 2005 record by 0.3", and then on the 24th 3.4" were recorded, breaking the 2004 record of 2.0" for that day. The average wind speed was 10.3 mph, while the highest wind speed was 57 mph on the 19th from a southeasterly direction.
