King Salmon March 2016


Highlights

King Salmon had a mean monthly temperature this March of 32.9°F, 8.8°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 52°F on the 31st, which broke the daily record for that day by 2°F, which had been set in 1983 and 1934. The high of 49°F on the 13th broke the record of 47°F set in 1934. The lowest temperature for the month was 4°F on the 20th.

Precipitation was 1.25" higher than normal, with 1.95" measured and just 0.70" expected. Snowfall however was less than normal with 4.0" recorded and 6.4" expected. The average wind speed was 9.3 mph, while the highest wind speed was 40 mph from a northeasterly direction on the 1st.
