King Salmon's monthly mean temperature was recorded at 30.4°F, 6.3°F above normal. The warmest temperature for the month was observed at 53°F on the 29^th, which also broke the 1996 record for that day by 2°F. The coldest temperature was -11°F on the 14^th. On the 19^th, a temperature of 51°F was recorded which broke the record high for that day, set in 1983 by 1°F. Four days later, on the 23^rd, the 51°F measured also broke the 1941 record for that day by 1°F.

Precipitation was heavier than normal, with 0.95" recorded, 0.25" more than normal. Snowfall was quite less than normal with a mere 5% of the expected amount, with 0.3" recorded. The average wind speed was 10.4 mph, and the highest wind speed was 44 mph, occurring on both the 2^nd and the 15^th, both from an easterly direction.
