King Salmon June 2017


Highlights

King Salmon had a mean monthly temperature of 53.7°F this June, 2.2°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 76°F occurring on the 1st, while the lowest was 34°F on the 19th, and this is a new daily low, breaking the old record of 35°F set in 1997.

Precipitation was heavy with 2.40” recorded, 0.75” (45%) above normal. The total rainfall on the of 1.03" on the 14th set a new daily record, more than double the old record of 0.49" set in 1978. The average wind speed was 7.7 mph while the highest wind speed was 38 mph from a southerly direction on the 28th.
