King Salmon July 2016


Highlights

King Salmon had a mean monthly temperature of 59.1°F in July, 3.6°F above the normal 55.5°F. The highest temperature for the month was 80°F on the 12th, while the lowest was 37°F on the 8th. The high of 78°F on the 16th tied the daily high set in 1962. On the 11th, a temperature of 38°F was observed, breaking the lowest minimum temperature for that day by 2°F, previously set in 1973.

Precipitation was 153% of normal, with 3.52” measured and 2.30” expected. The average wind speed was 8.1 mph, while the highest wind speed was 34 mph, occurring on the 14th from a southerly direction, and then on the 18th from a westerly direction.
