Highlights

King Salmon’s January mean monthly temperature was 12.7°F, 3.5°F lower than normal. The highest temperature for the month was 44°F on the 1st, while the lowest was -27.0°F on the 22nd.

Precipitation was lighter than normal, with 0.15” measured and 1.02” normally expected. Snowfall was also lighter than normal, with 3.0” measured, just 29% of normal. The average wind speed was 7.7 mph while the highest wind speed was 56 mph from a southeasterly direction on the 30th.
