King Salmon January 2016


Highlights

The mean monthly temperature for King Salmon this January was 32.4°F, an extreme 16.2°F above the normal of 16.2°F. The highest temperature for the month was 45°F occurring on the 4th, which broke the daily record for that day, set in 1995, by 2°F and on the 31st. The lowest temperature was 10°F occurring on three separate days: the 13th, 14th, and 21st.

Precipitation was less than half of normal with 0.48" measured and 1.02" expected. Snowfall was a mere 6% of normal, with 0.6" measured and 10.2" normal. The average wind speed was 13.1 mph while the highest wind speed was 49 mph on the 1st from an easterly direction.
