Highlights

King Salmon’s December mean monthly temperature was 0.2°F above normal, at 18.8°F. The highest temperature for the month was 46°F on the 31st, a new daily high record, breaking the old record from 1984 by 1°F. while the lowest was -23°F on the 3rd.

Precipitation was lighter than normal, with 1.09” measured and 1.23” expected. Snowfall was also lighter than expected, with just 58% of the 9.5” normal value, with 5.5” measured. The average wind speed was 9.3 mph, while the highest wind speed was 47 mph from a southeasterly direction on the 18th.
