King Salmon reported an average temperature of 35.4°F, somewhat (1.7°F) above normal for April. The high temperature was 61°F on 27th, while the low temperature of 9°F occurred on the 6th. The maximum on the 27thwas also new record high for this date, surpassing the old maximum of 58°F set in 2005.
The precipitation total was measured as 0.56", 42% below the normal of 0.97". The snowfall of 3.2" on the 5thsurpassed the old record for this day of 2.8", set in 1990. However, despite this, the total observed snowfall for the month fell 0.5" below the normal of 3.9". Average wind speed was 8.9 mph and the highest gust was recorded at 56 mph on the 8th, blowing from a southerly direction.
