Ketchikan March 2017


Highlights

Ketchikan had a mean monthly temperature of 33.8°F, 4.0°F below the normal for March. The highest temperature for the month was 48°F occurring on the 26th, while the lowest was 7°F on the 10th, a new daily record low, breaking the old daily low of 9°F set in 2003.

Precipitation was heavier than normal, with 16.11” measured, with 10.89” normally expected. The total precipitation of 1.77" on the 14th set a new record for that day, breaking the 1.60 record set in 1966. Then on the 31st the precipitation total of 1.91" broke the 1992 record of 1.48".
