Highlights

Ketchikan's January temperature was 6.4°F above normal, with 41.3°F observed for the month. The highest temperature for the month was 52°F on the 24th, while the lowest temperature was 19°F observed on the 5th.

A whopping 31.01" of precipitation was measured for the month, slightly over double the 15.40" normally expected. Contributing to the massive amount of precipitation was the 5.56" that were observed on the 20th, which broke the record for that day, set in 1948, by 1.42" The following day, 4.68" were measured, breaking the 1926 record for the 21st by 1.21".
