Highlights

Ketchikan had a February mean monthly temperature of 42.6°F, 6.8°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 53°F on both the 9th and 11th. The temperature on the 11th also set the record for that day, breaking the old 1970 record by 2°F, while the high of 47°F on the 10th tied the 1970 record. The lowest temperature for the month was just below freezing at 31°F on the 18th.

Precipitation was much higher than normal, with 24.88" measured, 14.35" above normal, which represents 236% of normal. Contributing to this was the 5.96" that fell on the 25th, breaking the record from that day, set in 1968, by 2.92".
