Highlights

The May monthly mean temperature for Juneau was 52.2°F, 3.6°F above the normal of 48.6°F. The warmest temperature for the month was 75°F recorded on the 16th, which also broke the 1994 daily record of 68°F. The high of 73°F on the 9th topped the 2005 record of 71°F. Then on the 17th, the high temperature of 72°F tied the daily record set in way back in 1945. The lowest recorded temperature occurred on the 5th with 33°F.

Precipitation light at just 49% of normal, with 1.67" recorded; making this the 10th driest on record. The average wind speed was 6.6 mph, while the fastest wind speed was 38 mph, blowing from an easterly direction on the 3rd.
