Juneau May 2010


Highlights

Juneau had the 7th warmest May on record.  The mean monthly temperature was 50.7°F, 2.8°F above normal for the month.  The high temperature was 80°F on the 27th, and the low was recorded at 29°F on the 3rd.  Although, Juneau set a precipitation record of 0.56" on the 15th of the month (the old record was 0.55" in 1964), this was also the 4th driest May on record, average precipitation being measured at only 1.25", just 24% of normal.  Winds averaged 5 mph at the airport and on the 20th a peak gust of 45 mph was reported.
