Highlights

Juneau had the 7^th warmest May on record.  The mean monthly temperature was 50.7°F, 2.8°F above normal for the month.  The high temperature was 80°F on the 27^th, and the low was recorded at 29°F on the 3^rd.  Although, Juneau set a precipitation record of 0.56" on the 15^th of the month (the old record was 0.55" in 1964), this was also the 4^th driest May on record, average precipitation being measured at only 1.25", just 24% of normal.  Winds averaged 5 mph at the airport and on the 20^th a peak gust of 45 mph was reported.
