Juneau had a mean monthly temperature of 39.9°F, 6.1°F above normal. The highest temperature for the month was 58°F on the 31st, which broke the record for that day by 6°F, which was set in 1981. On the 5th the high of 46°F tied the record set in 2005. Then on the 6th, the 48°F observed broke the 1941 record for that day by 2°F. The high of 46°F on the 10th tied the 1966 record. On the 12th the 50°F observed broke the 1981 record for that day by 1°F, then on the next day the high of 49°F broke the 2005 record by 1°F. And finally on the 23rd the 51°F measured broke the 2006 record of 50°F. Partially due to these records, this was the warmest March on record, the previous warmest March had a mean monthly temperature of 39.6°F. The lowest temperature for the month was 23°F on the 3rd.
Precipitation was just 57% of normal, with 2.17" measured and 3.78" expected. Only trace amounts of snowfall were measured, while 11.6" are normally expected. The average wind speed was 6.3 mph, while the highest was 36 mph on the 11th from a southeasterly direction.
