Highlights

Juneau was colder than normal in March, with a monthly mean of 31.5°F, which is 2.3°F below normal. The warmest temperature observed this month was 49°F near the end of the month on the 30th, while the coldest was 4°F on the 5th.

Precipitation was near normal, with 3.45" observed compared to the normal of 3.78". Snowfall however was lighter than expected, with 6.0" of snowfall recorded, just 52% of normal. The average wind speed was 8.6 mph, with the peak wind occurring on the 10th, at 51 mph from an easterly direction.
