Highlights

Temperatures were on the warm side in Juneau, the average temperature was 36.5°F, 2.9°F above normal for March. The high was 48°F on the 29th and the low for the month was 24°F on the 8th. Precipitation was 6.05”, 72% above normal and snowfall amounts were above normal as well. The airport reported 12.6”, 2.8” more than normal for March. Season-to-date, snowfall is 62.3”, 33.0” below the normal amount. Juneau set a new daily precipitation record of 0.70” on the23rd, smashing the old record of 0.43”, set in 1960, and on the same day, set a new snowfall record of 3.1” surpassing the old record of 1.6” set in 2008.
