Highlights

Juneau had a June temperature of 57.9°F, 3.3°F warmer than the normal mean of 54.6°F. The highest temperatures occurred during the middle of the month, with the maximum recorded on the 16th, at 85°F, breaking the old record of that day set in 1948 by 3°F. The high of 83°F tied the record from 1969. The coldest temperature for the month was on the 3rd, with 37°F recorded.

Precipitation was near normal for Juneau, with 3.19", or 98% of the expected amount observed. A daily record 0.85" fell on the 5th, breaking the old record of 0.78" set in 1993. The average wind speed was 6.1 mph, with a highest wind speed of 36 mph recorded on the 17th, blowing from a northwesterly direction.
