October’s mean monthly temperature for Fairbanks was 26.7°F, 2.5°F above the normal of 24.2°F. The highest temperature for the month was 59°F on the 1^st, while the coldest was -2°F on both the 23^rd and 24^th.

Snowfall was a mere 0.8”, just 7% of the 10.8” normally expected. This is the second lowest amount in over a hundred years with the record being just 0.07" measured in 2013. The average wind speed was 3.7 mph while the highest wind speed was 36 mph from a northeasterly direction on the 17^th.
