Highlights

The November mean temperature for Fairbanks was 3.5°F above its long-term mean of 2.6°F, with an average of 6.1°F. The warmest temperature for the month was recorded at 45°F during the storm on the 14th, and this is a new daily record, shattering the old record of 40°F that had been in place since 1908. On the 31st the monthly low of ‑33°F was recorded.

Precipitation in Fairbanks was heavy at 1.74", 160% above the normal amount of 0.67", making this the 5th wettest November in 99 years. The total precipitation of 0.62" on the 13th is a new record, topping out the 0.53" from 1950. Snowfall was also a bit heavy at 17.6", 33% above normal. The mean wind speed was a low 3.0 mph, while the highest wind gust was 55 mph, blowing from an easterly direction during the storm on the 14th.
