Highlights

Fairbanks had a mean monthly temperature of 63.4°F, 0.9°F above the normal of 62.5°F. The highest temperature for the month was 88°F on both the 13th and 14th. The high of 88°F on the 13th tied the daily high set in 2009. The lowest temperature was 50°F on the 23rd.

Precipitation was over double the normal amount, with 4.97” measured, and 2.16” expected. The total of 0.77" that fell on the 31st set a new daily record, breaking the old record of 0.64" from 1934. The average wind speed was 4.8 mph, with a highest wind speed of 31 mph from a northwesterly direction on the 28th.
