In Big Delta the mean temperature for May was 42.7°F, 4.9°F below the normal value of 47.6°F.  The highest temperature for the month was observed on the 30^th at 79°F, while the minimum temperature for the month was recorded on both the 13^th and 18^th at 19.0°F. Both days set the record minima for the days, while the 19^th and 20^th matched the old record lows.

The observed precipitation for the month was a mere 0.09", 10% of the long-term normal value.
