In August, Delta Junction had a monthly temperature of 57.9°F, 3.1°F higher than the long term normal. The coldest temperature recorded this month was a chilly 30°F on the 25^th, ending the growing season for many plants. This is further a new daily record low, breaking the 1993 low of 31°F. A nice 84°F was the highest temperature for the month, occurring on the 1^st.

Precipitation was a mere 78% of normal, with just 1.48" recorded, 0.41" below the normal of 1.89".
