In October Anchorage observed a mean monthly temperature of 33.4°F, -1.4°F below the normal of 34.8°F. The coldest day for the month was the 31^st, with 16°F, while the warmest was the 1^st with a temperature of 51°F recorded. 

Precipitation was lighter than normal, with 1.29" of precipitation observed, 64% of normal. Snowfall was also less than normal, with just 48% of the normal 7.9" or just 3.8" recorded. The greatest wind speed was 28 mph from the southeast on the 22^nd, while the mean winds speed was 4.3 mph
