Highlights

In June 2014 Anchorage had a mean monthly temperature of 53.8°F, -1.4°F below the normal amount. The highest temperature for the month occurred on the 29th at 72°F, while the lowest was 39°F on the 3rd.

Precipitation was heavy in June, with a monthly value of 3.33", while only 0.97" was expected, resulting in 343% precipitation of normal. This was the 2nd wettest June in Anchorage, after the 3.40" from 1962. Correspondingly three new daily precipitation records were set on June 10th (0.50"), June 21st (0.73"), and June 25th (0.78"). The average wind speed was 7.3 mph, with the greatest wind speed of 41 mph occurring on the 6th, from a southeasterly direction.
