Highlights

Anchorage was 2.7°F above the normal temperature, with a monthly mean of 61.5°F for the month of July. On the 24th the warmest temperature of the month was recorded at 79°F. The coolest temperature for the month was 49°F, observed on three days: 2nd, 5th and 8th. Due to the warmer temperatures, a total of 19 days reached a temperature of 70°F or higher, tying the previous record set in 1977. 15 of these days were consecutive, breaking the record of twelve days from 1953.

Precipitation totaled 1.10" for Anchorage, just 60% of the expected amount. The fastest wind speed for the month was 32 mph, observed on the 7th, from a southerly direction, while the average wind speed was 5.6 mph.
