Anchorage's February monthly mean temperature was recorded at 24.1°F, 3.9°F above the 20.2°F normal. The warmest temperature for the month was 47°F on the 22^nd while the coldest was the 0°F observed on the 5^th.

Precipitation was near normal with 0.71" observed just 0.01" below normal. A new daily record was set on the 21^st, with the 0.14" measured, breaking the old 1968 record for that day by 0.03". Snowfall however was just 10% of normal with 1.1" measured, compared to the 10.9" that was expected. The average wind speed was 6.1 mph, with a highest wind speed this month of 56 mph from a northeasterly direction on the 6^th.
