Arctic Sea Ice Extent: October 13, 2022

October 13, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has continued to increase by a slightly lower rate from last week of 8.59%, from the level on 10/06/2022 of 5.629 M km2 to 6.158 M km2 for this week.

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was greater from the anomaly of -1.698 M km2 on 10/06/2022 to a more negative anomaly of -1.802 M km2 on 10/13/2022 and so more anomalously negative for this time of year.
