Arctic Sea Ice Extent: November 10, 2022

November 10, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has continued to increase but at a lower rate from last week, of 5.15%, from the level on 11/03/2022 of 8.887 M km2 to 9.370 M km2 for this week.

Plot Compiled by: Howard J. Diamond, PhD; Climate Science Program Manager at NOAA’s Air Resources Laboratory

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was greater than the anomaly of -0.919 M km2 on 10/27/2022 to a more negative anomaly of -0.943 M km2 on 11/10/2022 and so less anomalously negative for this time of year.
