Arctic Sea Ice Extent: May 11, 2023

May 11 2023:  Over the past week, the sea ice had a decrease, since last week, by a slightly higher rate of 2.78%, from the level on 05/04/2023  of 13.414 M km2 to 13.042 M km2 for this week.

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was slightly lower than the anomaly of -0.391 M km2 on 05/04/2023 to a greater negative anomaly of -0.403 M km2 on 05/11/2023 and so more anomalously negative for this time of year.
