April 27 2023: Over the past week, the sea ice had a larger decrease, since last week, by a rate of 2.30%, from the level on 04/20/2023
of 14.012 M km2 to 13.690 M km2 for this week. The recent daily up and down variability from the past few weeks now appears to have ended with a consistent sea ice decrease going on now.

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was slightly higher than the anomaly of -0.477 M km2 on 04/20/2023 to a lesser negative anomaly of-0.472 M km2 on 04/27/2023 and so only slightly less anomalously negative for this time of year.
