July 6 2023: Over the past week, the sea ice had a decrease, since last week, by a lower rate of 6.42%, from the level on 06/29/2023 of 9.766 M km2 to 9.139 M km2 for this week.

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was lower than the anomaly of -1.070 M km2 on 06/29/2023 to a greater negative anomaly of -1.104 M km2 on 07/06/2023, and so more anomalously negative for this time of year.
