October 27, 2022: Over the past week, the sea ice has continued to increase at a higher rate from last week of 13.58%, from the level on 10/20/2022 of 6.893 M km2 to 7.976 M km2 for this week; a pretty healthy increase over a week period.

The negative sea ice anomaly this week was less than the anomaly of -1.724 M km2 on 10/20/2022 to a less negative anomaly of -1.266 M km2 on 10/27/2022 and so less anomalously negative for this time of year.
