Alaska experienced extreme warmth, mostly too dry conditions. Extreme drought warnings were issued locally in the Southeast, and widespread wildfire activity occurred in the Interior and the Kenai Peninsula. Sea ice decline is extreme with a high possibility for a new all-time Arctic sea ice minimum.
