Highlights

Barrow observed a mean monthly temperature of 9.7°F in November, 9.0°F above the normal of 0.7°F. The highest temperature recorded for the month was 35°F on the 13th, which also broke the 1997 record for that day by 4°F. The coldest measured temperature occurred on the 27th, at -11°F.

Precipitation was substantially higher than normal with 0.49" of precipitation measured, 0.28" above normal. The precipitation on the 20th, totaled 0.28" and broke the old record set last year by 0.05". Snowfall was slightly heavier than normal with 6.2" of snowfall recorded, 0.5" above normal. 3.1" of snow fell on the 20th, and as with precipitation, this set a record for the day breaking a 2010 record by 0.7".

The average wind speed was 14.1 mph, with a maximum wind speed of 44 mph occurring on the 19th and 20th, from an easterly direction.
