Barrow reported an average temperature in May of 21.6°F, 0.5°F above normal. The month was fairly close to the expected values, with the exception of a cold spell around the 7thof the month. The trend shows a strong seasonal warming during this month. On the 17th, the maximum temperature of 36°F was reported, while the lowest temperature of -11°F was observed on the 6thof May.
