June's mean monthly temperature for Barrow was recorded at 40.1°F, 4.5°F above normal. This is a new high mean monthly temperature, breaking the old record of 39.0°F set just two years ago. The highest temperature was 67°F on the 19^th, which broke the daily record for that day, set in 1991, by 1°F. In addition, the high of 53°F on the 7^th broke the 1992 record of 52°F. The coldest temperature for the month was 25°F on the 1^st and 4^th.

Precipitation was heavier than normal with 0.84" measured for the month, 0.52" more than normal. The total precipitation of 0.16" on the 14^th just topped the 1969 record for that day of 0.14". Also, the 0.9" of snow that fell on the 5^th broke the previous record of 0.3", also from 1969. The average wind speed for the month was 9.7 mph, while the highest wind speed was 33 mph from a northeasterly direction on the 5^th.
